The Delegation- Oh Honey
Posted on February 1, 2010 by Martín Caballero
The Delegation’s “Oh Honey” is an important landmark in the evolution of skank music in the 20th century. If not for this song and it’s lasting impact on bitches and sluts worldwide, the group would probably fade into obscurity. This UK group was active during the 70s and 80s, releasing a couple songs that charted on both sides of the Atlantic before fading out in the 90s. This song, which went to #5 in the U.S., marked their biggest stateside hit.
In it’s first rediscovery, in 1991 by Three Times Dope, things start off rather tame. EST picks up some neighborhood skeezer, then acts surprised when it turns out she’s just playing him to get some of that rapper money (back in 1989, hip-hop was still a relatively profitable enterprise). He could have handled this situation like less of a whiny bitch, especially as he wimpers on the couch at the end while his ex-bitch is dissing him. These are mistakes Scarface wisely avoids on the Geto Boys “Quickie.”
Unlike his neutered colleague EST, Brad Jordan is under no illusions about his skeezer. She knows what she’s there for, and the only complaint she can make is that she wants to get fucked all night instead of just a quickie. She wants a “fucking that will last a lifetime,” and seeing as that she’s about to get married and sign away her sex life for eternity, Face Mob arrives not a moment too soon.
The evolution continued in the 90s, as the sample provided fresh inspiration for Coolio to muse about “Ugly Bitches.” From this one seed, many a great skank pussy anthem was born.

I am just the slightest bit weirded out by that.
