A Conversation I’m Finally Willing To Have About The Lox

Back in my heyday – when I rocked DJ Clue tapes until the tapes popped – I got awfully angry when cats suggested that anyone beside Jadakiss was the best MC that the Lox had to offer. To me that was just stubborn; clearly Jada clocked the best verse on nearly every track through the first two releases.
These days I’m not so certain. Not because I think Jada let his skills slip, but because all three have fully found their voices. Aside from the occasional overload of hood hyperbole, I rarely hear lazy shit from Jada, Sheek, or Styles. And when there’s a fresh beat popping – like there is on this Louch cut courtesy of Boston’s J. Cardim – I could be persuaded to vote for any of the three.
