Reks Makes The First Song About Hennessy Ever That’s Not Corny
Posted on November 7, 2009 by Chris Faraone

I’m grinning from beer to beer over here thinking: “How the fuck did nobody think to do this already?” That’s right – Reks has remade Arrested Development’s classic “Tennessee” into a cut about the first liquor that sells out every time there’s some hip-hop in the club.
As those who know Reks can attest, the dude likes to drink. This is no tall tale – one of my fondest memories of Boston hip-hop is him and Lucky Dice trashed on stage at the 2006 MIC Awards. Also – excessive props to Statik Selektah on the beat; as demonstrated on his “Express Yourself” with Consequence, Talib Kweli and Termanology, dude can spin a mighty interpolation.
