New Camp Fire – “Welcome to the Camp” (produced by Teddy Roxpin)

Posted on September 17, 2009 by Chris Faraone

It doesn’t matter if you don’t think The Camp is one of Boston’s tightest hip-hop outfits. The larger population of this city does, as the battle rap all-star squad beat the Dropkick Murphys, State Radio, Bang Camaro, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones for Best Live Act at last year’s Boston Music Awards.

Hevan, Dese, Excetera, and Grime went hard in 2008, and it looks like they’re back at it. Not sure if Apathy is executive producing this one – like he did last year’s The Campaign – but the aesthetic remains. If you’ve ever been a fan of punchlines and tight dusty vinyl jacks, then you’re welcome.
