Big Fucking Announcement: Slaine Scores Major Role in New Affleck Movie “The Town”

Here goes the biggest JumpTheTurnStyle announcement of all-time. Sure – we broke headlines about Chris Brown’s temper and Kim Kardashian’s polluted pie – but this shit is mega major. Ben Affleck has officially cast Boston hip-hop giant Slaine in a major role for his upcoming Charlestown bank heist flick The Town. Yep – you heard it right, and right here – that South Boston ringer from Special Teamz and La Coka Nostra is returning to the big screen to trump his breakout role in Gone Baby Gone. Much more on this soon; for now we just want to congratulate Slaine and remind the rest of you blog-ass motherfuckers that JTTS runs shit in the Bean. And without further ado, here’s a statement from the man himself:
I’ve been working on so much music since Gone Baby Gone, and I’ve turned down a lot of movie roles that didn’t interest me. But when it came to working with Ben again – and this time as a Charlestown bank robber – I couldn’t turn it down. I apologize to all the La Coka fans internationally since I can’t make this European tour, but I’m in Boston shooting a role that’s close to my heart and my roots. Thanks to my LCN brothers for rocking overseas without me; La Coka is and will remain a brand you can trust.
