Sage Francis Returns With “Strange Fame” – FREE Mixtape Dropping Soon

One thing I love about the psychotic hip-hop retards who frequent JumpTheTurnStyle is your complete and utter unpredictability. For example, I had no idea that so many heads would crack me open for throwing Fat Joe on our GOAT list.
So I’m curious about how you all feel regarding Sage Francis. My guess is that a third of you are fans, another third are on the fence, and the last third have never heard his music but are strongly opposed to his existence. Oh yeah – some of you will also likely pull the “I liked his old shit but…”
As for me, I’ve always been challenged by Sage, and am hence a fan. I haven’t heard a promo of his new disc yet, but we just got the track listing (copied below) and a new cut (“Strange Fame”) that you can DOWNLOAD FOR FREE HERE.
I’m feeling this track; the sample is from David Bowie’s “Fame,” which, as I reported here a few months ago, inspired George Clinton to write “We Want the Funk” as a dis track against white Brits who were co-opting their steeze.
As for the entire mixtape – Sick of Wasting – you can snatch that for free RIGHT HERE starting June 16. It’s the sequel to Sick of Waiting Tables and Sick of Waging War, both of which Sage fans of varying degrees will attest are absolutely worthwhile.
