Maybe a good 8+ hours of music in this post right chea? New mixes from Top Billin’, DJ Eleven, Treasure Fingers, Tittsworth, the entire Bad Boy Mixtape series, & Bloc Party.
Holy shit this is fuckin’ fire. I’ve been bumpin’ this in my room all a.m. putting away the mass amountz of laundry I did yesterday. It’s pretty fucking incredible. I highly suggest downloading this over any of the others.. and listening to it whilst downloading the rest. Spotted @ Discobelle. Go there for the tracklisting.

According to the press release: “We took on making a mix with that punk attitude, keeping the dynamics there so that it wouldn’t be too smooth operator mix, but have that rock feel in it. The tracks in the mix are all related in Bloc Party, influences and tracks that they’ve covered (like Prince) and of course kool tunes that are named block party. Hopefully you’ll dig it.”
Yeah I didn’t think I really gave a fuck about these dudes either.. but you know what, they ain’t half bad. And it’s not a mix that’s completely devoted to them.. There’s some Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., & Prince in there as well. I downloaded it and much to my chagrin, I found I listened to the whole thing thru without shutting it off. Then I listened to it again. It’s good. Give it a shot.

Eleven killed the first volumes of the Summer Madness / Winter Sadness series mixes. This particular one spoke directly to my ice cold frozen soul, because GOD DAMN, do I hate the mutherfucking WINTER!! This mix is all over the place (my type of mix), and is a very decent followup to the o.g. You’ll find dudes like Bill Withers, Tom Jones, Ying Yang Twins, The Clash, Sleepy Brown, all up on hurr. It’s good. I like it. You should too. Shouts to Krudmart.
Cocaine Blunts hooked us up oh so lovely a week or so ago, (dear god what I wouldn’t do for a cocaine blunt right now..)… dropping the complete Bad Boy mixtape collection. Sure, Vol. 1 is missing a couple tracks, and non of them are tagged for iTunes.. the point is; who gives a fucking shit. Downloading classic Bad Boy is akin to masturbating. It feels so good. Uh huh.. take that.

I’ll be honest.. I’m fucking broke these days. I kinda have a pretty hard “I don’t give a fuck” attitude to just about everything I used to care about. I’ve been eating Tuna Salad, regular oatmeal packets, and drinking free various beverages smuggled out from my friend who lives in a recovery house for heroin addiction. I tell ya; it’s not really all that bad to live this way. I either feel alive for the first time in a very long time or I’m slowly going insane and don’t realize it. Do crazy people even know that they are crazy? Shit. Oh yeah.. Tittsworth Mix. Really good.
