Huntsville, Alabama Brings Some Heat

There’s a whole crew of artists residing in Huntsville, AL who make what can be classified as emo-dirty South rap music. They record under the umbrella of Paper Route Recordz, but the main contributor to their overall sound is the Block Beattaz production team comprised of C.P. and Mali Boi. A bunch of dudes from this crew recently signed with Diplo’s Mad Decent label, and there are a couple mixtapes slated for upcoming release. The entire genre and crew are somewhat of an enigma, so I’ll refrain from trying to pin them down and just let the music speak for itself. This is the music that I blast in my blue car on my way to Michael’s Craft Store, which I visit so that I can buy the necessary supplies to complete my Halloween costume (more on that later):

    These guys are almost on the same level as lil wayne, extremely SKILLED! Can’t wait for there debut album. Will you please continue to follow these guys closely there are the new skool!
