Dave Grohl Trying To Shit On The Whole Laptop Based Music Industry

This one is for ON&ON.

Fellow Dinosaur, Dave Grohl gave a long winded speech rant about “kids these days” using computers instead of instruments. Somehow he is mad because people would rather listen to illegally downloaded dubstep mp3s than old Nirvana CDs.

“This is a great honour, because this record was a special record for our band. Rather than go to the best studio in the world down the street in Hollywood and rather than use all of the fanciest computers that money can buy, we made this one in my garage with some microphones and a tape machine…

“To me this award means a lot because it shows that the human element of music is what’s important. Singing into a microphone and learning to play an instrument and learning to do your craft, that’s the most important thing for people to do.

“It’s not about being perfect, it’s not about sounding absolutely correct, it’s not about what goes on in a computer. It’s about what goes on in here [your heart] and what goes on in here [your head].”

And much like everyone wants to do as soon as Dave, “DJ Onion” begins talking about the merits of Showbiz and A.G.’s new material, the Grammys killed his mic and drowned him out with filler music. No one wants to hear your dad give his “When I was your age..” speech. Specifically at the fucking Grammys.

That’s right Dave Grohl..

No one is fucking listening to you..

BUT SKRILLEX IS ALWAYS WATCHING. AND SKRILLEX IS TAKING NOTES..

  1. DJ ON&ON Says:

You’re right Trees…Thank gawd we had enuff kewl speeches for the night…Like when Chris Brown shouted out “Team Breezy”…or when Adele pretty much said “Fanks” and walked off the stage four times without mentioning Witnee Hoostin or the plight of fat bitchez in the industry.
Shame on Dave Grohl for being the only display of thinking man for the night.

  2. Dylan Says:

Dave was right on when it came to his speech. We will see if skrillex is still relevant in 10-15 years! My opinion is….he won’t be!!!

  3. This Guy Says:

Oh dear… You poor child… I fear you may be retarded…

  4. What Says:

But he released a statement saying that that’s not what he was saying at all. That he actually likes Skrillex and that it’s about the human element which a lot of times is auto tuned and pitch corrected out. Soooo, you’re dumb.

  5. Just sayinggg Says:

Anyone can use a computer; it takes talent to actually write, record, and play music without extra plug-ins to help them. If an artist is talented, they shouldn’t have to use a computer to correct them.

and I’m sorry I didn’t see the page on your credentials… were you in the Grammy Award winning bands?
