Shonie Celebrates, The Dance Weeps

My anticipation of Friday night’s Slip N Slide artist-signing party extravaganza reached an all time high on Friday afternoon when I spent 15 minutes pacing back and forth in my apartment while reciting the lyrics to “Bust it Baby Pt. 2″ (radio version, I have standards people) over and over. The thought of catching an eye-piercing reflection from Plies’ wrist accessories while simultaneously trying to interpret Trick Daddy’s drawl as I’m serenaded by the R&B stylings of Shonie is almost too much to handle for the human brain, so you can only imagine my excitement.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I was only able to experience a little over an hour of the festivities, a fate similar to waterboarding and shock therapy. Luckily for the rest of the attendees, the events weren’t contingent upon my presence, and the show went on. I’ve heard good things about Shonie’s performance, and I’m sure she’ll be killin it in the future (check out her myspace). My biggest regret was that I wasn’t able to pass on a message to Plies from Sleezy Trees. You see, Plies defended Trees on the UGHH.com message boards about two years ago (we’re still confused), and Trees wished to pass on his sincere thanks. Oh well, there’s always Winter Music Conference.
**Big shout out to Natalie from Slick Salt Entertainment and Shonie of Slip N Slide Records**

Yes, the Plies x Sleezy Trees union needs to be completely investigated thoroughly.

Thats it? No gift bags? No celeb sightings? Were you sick or something? You have’nt even set the background of what it was like in there for that hour.

It wasn’t really a party, it was just a normal club night and they bought out the VIP. So I stood around for a while and nodded at the only other white dude in the club while the rest of the people in the club thought I was trying to register them to vote or something. Then I chilled in the VIP for like 5 minutes before I had to leave. Yes, blue balls.
